DESCRIPTION

Each dimension has four crossmembers that control the movements within that dimension. Each crossmember is made up of three welded aluminum rods joined by two transitional fittings, these are easy to use thumb locks.

how02

The frame comes unassembled as two complete ends and four uprights.

The four uprights easily snap into position using a thumb depressed button that locks them into place.

Simply flip the other end over and snap it into place and you are ready to go measure.

how04

To make measuring easy pick out the dimension you want to adjust first. Flip open all of the large locks on the four crossmembers of that dimension and adjust as needed. You will notice as soon as you begin to extend the tool laser etched indicies are shown on all crossmembers showing you the outside length of that crossmember. When the first stage is fully extended lock it then open the smaller stage for maximum extension. For accurate measuring ALWAYS open the large locks first!

how05

Before you disassemble Check-a-Fittm fully retract all sides to the shortest positions. Depress the thumb buttons to detach the top end from the uprights and lay that end on the ground. Remove the four uprights setting them to the side. Insert the two ends into each other making a strong easy to carry frame that fits into your carrying case. Place the frame into the case. For a proper fit open four locks (while in the case) and extend the frame so it fills the length of the carrying case. Be sure to lock them back then place the uprights in the bottom of the case. Your case comes equipped with two velcro elastic locking straps that hold the uprights into position while the tool is not being used.
